Arrhythmias Produced by Cardiac Nervous Stimulation.

چکیده
To investigate the effects of cardiac nerves on the cardiac ectopic impulse formation, electrical stimulation of vagus and cardiac sympathetic was performed on the dog. It has been known that there are some discrepancies in the cardiac responses according to the side of the stimulated nerve. The right vagus and sympathetic have been said to send the fibers mainly around the S-A node, while the left to distribute to the A-V node. Our experiments, confirming the results of previous workers, proved that the stimulation of sympathetic potentiated the ectopic pacemaker in the atrium, the ventricle and particularly in the A-V node. The nodal tachycardia induced by sympathetic stimulation was of specific type, the mechanism of which was analyzed by means of atrial electrographic recording.

Effect of Diphenylhydantoin and Lidoca1ne on Cardiac Arrhythmias Induced by Hypothalamic Stimulation
The importance of the central nervous system in the antiarrhythmic actions of diphenyhiydantoin and lidocaine was studied using arrhythmias induced by electrical stimulation of the posterior hypothalamus in cats. Hypothalamic stimulation resulted in cardiac arrhythmias mediated by the sympathetic nervous system. The arrhythmias occurred during stimulation, and recordings from cardiac sympatheti...

متن کاملMyocardial damage and cardiac arrhythmias after intracranial hemorrhage. A critical review.
I Myocardial Damage and Cardiac Arrhythmias After Intracranial Hemorrhage. A Critical Review • Evidence is presented which supports the theory that intracranial hemorrhage may secondarily cause myocardial damage and cardiac arrhythmias. Fatal intracranial hemorrhage occasionally is accompanied by ECG changes which are consistent with myocardial infarction; histological examination of the heart ...
متن کاملRole of the autonomic nervous system in modulating cardiac arrhythmias.
The autonomic nervous system plays an important role in the modulation of cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmogenesis. Decades of research has contributed to a better understanding of the anatomy and physiology of cardiac autonomic nervous system and provided evidence supporting the relationship of autonomic tone to clinically significant arrhythmias. The mechanisms by which autonomic activa...
متن کاملTemperature-dependent model of human cardiac sodium channel
Cardiac sodium channels are integral membrane proteins whose structure is not known at atomic level yet and their molecular kinetics is still being studied through mathematical modeling. This study has focused on adapting an existing model of cardiac Na channel to analyze molecular kinetics of channels at 9-37°C. Irvine et al developed a Markov model for Na channel using Neuronal Network Model ...
